The famous Töölö Library has undergone a thorough renovation and reopens on Saturday 20th August 2016.
Tunto Design created the new lights for the library’s reading room, tailor-made to fulfill the library’s demands regarding aesthetics and quality. The project was a success, and the involved parties are extremely happy with the final result.
"Tunto Design’s lights are what the lighting should have been originally: functional and matching the library’s overall design. They truly complement the space – the library is alive”, praises Library Manager Anne Ala-Honkola.
Architecture agency Arkkitehdit Mustonen, responsible for the renovation and the new interior of the library, is also pleased with the result.
“We really succeeded in capturing the spirit, needs and history of the building”, says a representative of the agency.
Tunto Design’s designer and CEO Mikko Kärkkäinen summarize Tunto’s role with the newly-opened library:
“We are proud to be part of the future of a famous building and to offer well-illuminated moments of reading for everyone who visits the library.” Mikko Kärkkäinen.
